Are you an early-career sales or technical professional looking for a new, exciting opportunity? Our Sales & Business Development team is seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Sales Representative to join our team based in Calgary, Alberta.

Reporting to the Sales & Business Development Manager, you will support Centurion’s sales efforts by identifying potential customers, maintaining & building customer relationships, and promoting the Company’s business lines. This role will collaborate closely with senior sales staff, operations, and marketing to ensure a seamless customer experience. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Customer Retention (50%):

  • Identify and generate new business leads through networking and market research.
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential clients in various industries.
  • Qualify prospects and schedule meetings or product demonstrations.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Ensure regular follow-up with customers to maintain satisfaction and uncover future opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior sales representatives to support larger sales opportunities and cross-selling efforts.
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions to identify new strategies and sales opportunities.

Sales Presentations & Promotion (30%):

  • Assist in preparing and delivering presentations and proposals for potential clients.
  • Collaborate with senior sales staff to develop sales pitches and solutions that meet client needs.
  • Support contract negotiations, helping to secure favorable terms for both clients and the company.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s rental products and services, including technical specifications.
  • Communicate product benefits to clients, highlighting the value and unique selling propositions (USPs) of the services offered.

Sales Reporting & Analysis (20%):

  • Track and report sales activities, including prospect interactions and sales performance, in Centurion’s CRM system.
  • Assist in analyzing market conditions and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings, providing updates on progress toward sales targets.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in sales, customer service, engineering, or technical services; high-level understanding of heavy equipment, fluid management systems, remote power solutions, environmental markets, and/or emission reduction technologies is an asset.
  • Oil & gas sales experience is an asset.
  • Sales training (e.g., Dale Carnegie) is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media is an asset (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, LinkedIn).

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak in a public setting and confidently deliver presentations on Centurion's business lines.
  • Ability to multi-task multiple projects and priorities, work under pressure and meet varied deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to meet/exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to prepare and compile meaningful data metrics for analysis and reporting requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extensive use of phone and video conferencing platform.
  • Initial travel across Western Canada will be required within the first three (3) months to learn the Centurion business, its operations, and different service lines. Following this period, travel within the Calgary area to client meetings, outings, and presentations will be expected.
