REMOTE DECOMMISSIONING PROJECT SUPPORTED BY CENTURION’S CRANES & LIFTING SERVICES TEAM

Centurions’ Cranes & Lifting Services business line has completed essential work on a remote, logistically-complex energy decommissioning project.
The contract saw Centurion provide essential hoisting services for decommissioning and site remediation across the end client’s production field, directly contributing to site’s environmental remediation and return to its natural state. Centurion supported this effort by assisting in the dismantlement of key site infrastructure – removing buildings from their foundation pilings and loading them onto trucks for removal from the site.
The project scope required the Cranes & Lifting Services team to mobilize two Liebherr 1160-5.2 cranes to the remote worksite in northern Canada, alongside two operators, one supervisor and one counterweight truck driver for over 15 hours of continuous travel – including crossing a river by barge.
The equipment was mobilized safely and efficiently, with the entire job completed within just a 10-day timeframe – a demonstration of Centurion’s commitment to delivering robust solutions for our customers operating in complex, challenging, and remote locations.
